Mushkpuri- Nathiagali
Mushkpuri Peak is one of
the beauty in Pakistan for those adventure lovers. Mushkpuri is the second
highest hill of Galyat. It is located in the Hills of Nathiagali in District
Abbottabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Blessing for tourists and tracking
lovers. 4km timing distance from Nathiagali to Mushkpuri top. In winters
combination of pine trees with snow gives a breath taking feelings.
We arranged the trip
from two different universities of Rawalpindi, Islamabad – Comsats and FJWU on 6th February.
We were 54 in numbers and there were two departure points’ i.e; FJWU shell
parking and Faizabad. Me along with my one friend left from the home
around 6:30am and we took one of my partner from the arid
agriculture university metro bus stop. After that we went to FJWU to cater the
students over there and one of my partner was dealing with the passengers over
Faizabad bus stop. We started the journey from FJWU at 7:20am and
meet up with another bus at Faizabad at 7:40am.
Journey began from
faizabad bus stop: 7:45 am.
Transport: Saloon coaster (charges:
15,000 PKR)
CAPACITY: 26 seats, 30
people can easily sit.
We had to Saloon
coasters from Mohsin Transports. Drivers were well trained.
Route :Murree route (as it was
the month of February and were chances of snow fall and road blocks , so Murree
was the best choice rather than Abbottabad because we had more possibilities in
Murree if we stucked, rather than in Abbottabad. Also it was less time consuming
than Abbottabad. We stayed in the way to pick up some of the passengers, also
we stayed at the Bara kahu toll plaza and some of us did a breakfast out there.
There was a very small dhaba having yummy parathas and omelettes.
Around 9:00am we
continued on the way to Nathiagali …
No land sliding, roads
were clear. No traffic.
We reached Nathiagali
at 11:00 am.
Tracks in Galliat: There are more than one
tracking paths.
From Donga gali to
Mushkpuri top
from Nathiagali to
Mushkpuri top
from Dungagali to
Ayubia
from Nathiagali to
Miranjani (Highest hill of Galyat).
After 20
–30 minutes of site viewing we started our track at 11:30am originating near Shangrila
Hotel in Nathiagali.
Instructions for
trackers:
·
If you have a plenty of time and you are planning to fully hike
towards the Mushakpuri top then just don’t worry you might find a little
difficulty because mostly people don’t notice the turn towards top and they
went straight towards Dunga gali to Ayubia track. So take right hand turn when
there comes a three direction tracks (if you are coming from Nathiagali track).
·
If you are planning to come up at a specific time and you are not
aware of the track even have not an experienced person then just don’t waste
your time in search of right path. It could lead you towards wrong track and
then it will be just waste of time to start again the track. As it will take
several more hours.
